Essowess Proposal

My Proposal
2 Wind Farms
1 Nuclear Power Plant
2 Hydroelectric Plants

Why?
Hydroelectric Plants
Cost effective and energy effcient
Very efficient, but there's are some obstacles. Since Essowess only has one river, the Aichtuwoe River, the space for these plants will be limited. However, these plants will be installed in places with low concentrations of recreational activities and where there's minimal environmental impact.
80:1
EROI
Meaning that it has potential to produce more energy than it is needed to install this plant

Why?
Nuclear Power Plants
#1
in energy production
Very expensive, but significantly higher energy output than other energy sources. However there are still other concerns we have to address. Uranium, a common material used for nuclear energy, is very abundant in Essowess, but the facilities for safely transporting these resources and storing the byproducts isn't available. Only 1 Nuclear Plant is being build as a transition to this energy source. This will allow Essowess to slowly adapt to this change, and eventually be able to store radioactive waste in proper facilities.
2,100%
More efficient than current coal plants

Why?
Wind Farms
Wind Farms might seem like an immediate no, but there's a lot more under the surface. While there aren't many places with consistent winds in Essowess, this is next in line for the most sustainable and effecient energy source. Just like hydroelectric plants, wind farms will take up a lot of space, but with proper planning, it is possible to have then in suitable locations.

Why not other sources?
Coal & Biofuels
Natural Gas
Potential for long-term use due to abundance of coal and the ever-growing landfills of Essowess, but emit huge amounts of harmful pollutants into the atmosphere
A clean source of energy, but there isn't a definite source of natural gas discovered yet. Extraction of natural gas also results in habitat destruction and contamination due to processes such as fracking.
Geothermal
Solar
A very sustainble source, but its location hinders this project's goal of extracting energy sources effeciently
A very clean and effecient source, but not reliable. Solar panels don't generate electrciity 24/7, and they are expensive to install as well.
