¿Qué es una propuesta de valor?

Una propuesta de valor (VP, por sus siglas en inglés) tiene como fin convencer a los clientes de comprar tu producto o servicio al resaltar su valor agregado y sus características y particularidades. Muchas veces se usan otras denominaciones para referirse a la propuesta de valor. Estos son algunos ejemplos:

  • Declaración de valor
  • Proposición de valor
  • Posicionamiento de valor
  • Propuesta de marca
  • ​​Propuesta de venta única (USP, por sus siglas en inglés)
  • Oferta de valor única (UVP, por sus siglas en inglés)

Independientemente del término que uses, el significado sigue siendo el mismo. Tu objetivo debe ser desarrollar una declaración concisa, que suele ir acompañada de un elemento visual, que explique por qué tus servicios son únicos y destacados. Una empresa también puede elaborar varias propuestas de valor para diferentes campañas o para destacar diferentes áreas de valor. Estos son los cuatro tipos principales de propuestas de valor:

Muchos suelen confundir la propuesta de valor con la declaración de la misión de la empresa. Si bien tu declaración de misión puede inspirar a tu propuesta de valor, la diferencia está en que la propuesta de valor está dirigida a los clientes externos. Puedes presentar tu declaración de misión a personas ajenas a la empresa; sin embargo, está destinada a ser usada como una declaración interna de “propósito”.
