What is Water
Water, a substance composed of the chemical elements hydrogen and oxygen and existing in gaseous, liquid, and solid states. It is one of the most plentiful and essential of compounds. A tasteless and odourless liquid at room temperature, it has the important ability to dissolve many other substances. Indeed, the versatility of water as a solvent is essential to living organisms. Life is believed to have originated in the aqueous solutions of the world’s oceans, and living organisms depend on aqueous solutions, such as blood and digestive juices, for biological processes.
- Liquid water
- Solid water
- Water as a gas
Water
Liquid water
Liquid water is found in bodies of water, such as an ocean, sea, lake, river, stream, canal, pond, or puddle. The majority of water on Earth is seawater.
Solid water
The solid form of water is ice. Ice is less dense than water as when water freezes, its molecules move farther apart.
Water as a gas
Water existing as a gas is called water vapor. When referring to the amount of moisture in the air, we are actually referring to the amount of water vapor. If the air is described as "moist", that means the air contains large amounts of water vapor.
types of Water
- Raw water
- Saline water
Raw water
Raw water is water found in the environment that has not been treated and does not have any of its minerals, ions, particles, bacteria, or parasites removed. Raw water includes rainwater, ground water, water from infiltration wells, and water from bodies like lakes and rivers.
saline Water
Saline water (more commonly known as salt water) is water that contains a high concentration of dissolved salts (mainly sodium chloride). The salt concentration is usually expressed in parts per thousand (permille, ‰).

Waterfalls
Water in the planet
About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water.
THE WATER CYCLE
IT IS A COMPLEX SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES MANY DIFFERENT PROCESSES. LIQUID WATER EVAPORATES INTO WATER VAPOR, CONDENSES TO FORM CLOUDS, AND PRECIPITATES BACK TO EARTH IN THE FORM OF RAIN AND SNOW. WATER IN DIFFERENT PHASES MOVES THROUGH THE ATMOSPHERE (TRANSPORTATION).

Fire is the effect of the process of combustion - a special type of chemical reaction. it occurs between oxygen in the air and some sort of fuel. The products from the chemical reaction are completely different from the starting material.
The Earth is full of a wide variety of rocks and minerals which provide the soil to grow vegetation and support life. Rare earth elements (REE) are a group of 17 elements, including the 15 elements of the lanthanide series on the periodic table of elements together with the transition metals scandium and yttrium.
Water is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H2O. It is a transparent, tasteless, odorless,[c] and nearly colorless chemical substance, and it is the main constituent of Earth's hydrosphere and the fluids of all known living organisms (in which it acts as a solvent[19]). It is vital for all known forms of life.
Air is the invisible mixture of gases that surrounds Earth. Air contains important substances, such as oxygen and nitrogen, that most species need to survive. Human beings (Homo sapiens), of course, are one of those species. Sometimes, the word "atmosphere" is used instead of the word "air."
