Create and communicate clear course goals and learning objectives
- Identify course objectives - what are your students learning?
- Be specific! Goals should be clear and specific - avoiding vague language.
- Measure your success - Make sure each goal can be measured through types of assessment.
- State the Objective: Clearly state the purpose or objective of the assignment. This helps students understand what they are expected to achieve.
- Outline Procedures: Provide a step-by-step guide or checklist of tasks that students need to complete for the assignment.
- Provide a Grading Rubric: Share a detailed grading rubric with specific criteria for evaluation. This helps students understand how their work will be assessed.
