01

EVACUATE

Evacuate to the announced location.

An evacuate emergency is called to move students and staff from an indoor location to an outdoor location. Any time the fire alarm goes off or an administrator announces it, we will evacuate the building. Teachers will: Close the classroom door after the room is empty, lead the evacuation to the designated location, take attendance, and notify an administrator if there are any missing, extra, or injured students. Students will: Leave their things behind, stay quiet to hear the teacher's instructions, form a line, stay with their class at all times, and stay calm.

FAQs

  • What should a student do if they are with a different teacher during an evacuate? Evacuate with that teacher.
  • What should a student do if they are in the bathroom or hallway during an evacuate? Evacuate the building and find their teacher.
