(1) Open and use your annotations as a model for your own annotations and dialectical journal from our class reading of "There Will Come Soft Rains". (2) Annotate each story for characterization, conflict, POV, setting, dystopian/utopian characteristics, and any other important information. (3) Locate a significant quote (a piece of evidence) from the text, add your commentary (explanation of what is happening), and connect the author's purpose. (4) Review your evidence and determine what a possible theme could be for the short story.
