SETTLEMENT

We will contact you to schedule a time for you to come into the office to review your settlement statement, sign any necessary paperwork, and pick up your check. We look forward to seeing you.

WHAT ABOUT MY CAR?

ONCE the insurance company has accepted responsibility (liability), the adjuster will reach out to the vehicle owner directly to discuss rental and repairs or payout for the value of the vehicle.

*TIMEFRAMES MAY VARY

INVESTIGATION

During the investigation phase, our office will be:

1. Gathering evidence such as police reports, witness statements, video footage, etc. 2. Notifying all insurance companies of representation and obtaining coverage details. 3. Obtaining insurance decision regarding responsibility for the accident (liability). *The length of the liability investigation varies depending on the facts of the accident and cooperation of involved parties and witnesses.

MISSED MEDICAL APPOINTMENT?

• Repeatedly missing appointments will negatively affect the outcome of your case. • Solution: Reschedule appointment and inform case manager/attorney. • Transportation issues? Inform case manager/attorney as soon as possible.

INVESTIGATION

During the investigation phase, our office will be:

1. Gathering evidence such as police reports, witness statements, video footage, etc. 2. Notifying all insurance companies of representation and obtaining coverage details. 3. Obtaining insurance decision regarding liability and coverage.

DEMAND

With the medical records and bills that have been received, we will prepare a demand letter that describes the facts of the accident and your injuries, treatment, pain and suffering, and loss of wages (if applicable). We will ask the insurance company to pay out a certain amount in compensation for your claim in the demand letter.

Please be advised that the at-fault insurance carrier is allowed 30 days upon receipt to review and respond, whereas the under/uninsured insurance carrier is allowed 60 days upon receipt to review and respond.

IMPORTANCE OF MEDICAL TREATMENT

Not only is receiving treatment the right thing to do for your health, but if you do not obtain treatment for some time following your accident, the insurance adjuster and jury will assume that you are not hurt. Thus, if you are still experiencing pain, it is imperative you receive consistent care.

RECORDS RETRIEVAL

At this time, we are gathering your entire medical records and bills from all providers. This process can take anywhere from *30-90 days.

*Timeframes may vary based upon providers' processing time.

Had a hospital visit? You can assist by logging into your portal and gathering your medical records.
