Types of Activities

Begin

Each activity has a type of priority, which will be indicated by the color of the arrow pointing at it. Hover your mouse over each arrow to learn more.

Red arrows are MANDATORY, it means the activity has to be done. So these activities have to be your TOP PRIORITY.

Green arrows are OPTATIVE, this means you can choose one out of those activities to do, these activities are your SECOND PRIORITY. Choose one GREEN activity.

BLUE ARROWS are VOLUNTARY, this means, you get EXTRA POINTS if you complete them, so you will do these activities once you have DONE all the previous. These arrows are the BOTTOM PRIORITY

Our Journey begins here

Our journey begins here. This is our home, Earth, it's awesome and beautiful, yet, we want to explore further. Since you are so exceptional, you have been invited to become part of the Pathfinder program, which will seek out new worlds to explore.

Our Home

  • To gain Lift-Off authorization, Houston has requested that you solve the following test, to prove your knowledge with basic equations.
  • Go to MathXL and solve the "2.2 Addition Property of Equality" Activity and post your result on the corresponding Classroom Activity.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit

For a long time, humanity has looked above and has tried to reach the stars, first the Moon, then Mars, and now we have set our goal outside the solar system.

The Constant Reach For the Stars

  • Going to Space is no easy task, it requires complex Math. Thanks to Math, a man saved the mission and his crewmates' lives, Commander Jim Lovell who did real time calculations to manage to land the Apollo XIII safe back on Earth

We reached the Moon on 1969, and since then we continued to visit it, then we stopped. Now, your knowledge and the Artemis program will take us back to our natural satellite.

One Small step for man...

  • The Orion has sent the Artemis Crew to the surface of the moon, we need to confirm your calculations to land.
  • Do the MATHXL called "2.2 Addition Property - Fractions" and upload to the corresponding Classroom activity.

After a long long time waiting to get there, we are getting closer to our neighbor, Mars, thanks to your knowledge and expertise, we have succesfully taken off Earth, reached the Moon, and now we are at the gates of the Red planet, the Orion is waiting for your calculations to proceed with the satellite launch.

The Red Planet

  • To succesfully launch the weather satellite on Mars you will need to solve two problems.
  • Go to the following Nearpod link by clicking on the planet icon.Solve and upload to the corresponding Classroom activity.

We have managed to explore most of our solar system, thanks to you!.Your efforts and mathematical knowledge have played a vital role in our conquest of space. Now we set our goal to the next galaxy: Andromeda, are you up for it?

The Future

  • To pave the way for the next galaxy we need to set up a communications array.
  • Click on the Picture to go to the Nearpod activity, solve the problem and upload to the corresponding Classroom Activity.

In 1994 Miguel Alcubierre designed a model to create an engine that could travel faster than light. NASA hasn't been able to sort the problems they have encountered but with your help, we could finally venture outside our Sol System.

The Journey Away from our Star

  • To prove the Alcubierre theorem, you have been working on Equations with variables on both sides.
  • Solve the MathXL called 2.4 Equations with variables on both sides and upload your result to the corresponding Classroom Activity.
