Case 5: A Qualitative Study

Let us recall that qualitative research is that which studies the quality of activities, relationships, relationships, issues, means, materials or instruments in a given situation or problem. It seeks to achieve a holistic description, i.e., it attempts to comprehensively analyze a particular issue or activity.

In qualitative studies, hypotheses take on a different role than in quantitative research. They are not usually established before entering the environment and beginning data collection. Rather, during the process, the researcher generates working hypotheses that are gradually refined as more data are collected or the hypotheses are one of the outcomes of the study.
