THE ENGLISH SCHOOL
the public education is free. English school are divided into: maintained school (state school) and independent school (private school). There are three phases of the English school system:
Primary education
concerns the age range from 4/5 to 11 years. Compulsory schooling starts from the age of five , and divided into three types: new born (5-7 years) junior (7-11 years) junior and infant (5-11 years)
Secondary education ytr
secondary education covers the age range from 11 to 16, the age at which compulsory school ends
tertiary school
higher education is not compulsory, but 90% of all students continue to attend school until then age of 18, when they obtain the diploma needed for university
Higher education
higher education it is a tripartite system:there are the Grammar schools (our high schools), the Technical schools (the technical instituts) and the modern school (the professional institutes).Those that are called Public Schools have very little, because they are private school
The system
A flexible system therefore, to the point that you don't have the same time every day. Usually in English schools there are no oral questions and students' grades are based on written tests.

THE AMERICAN SCHOOL
The american school system is divided into three phases: elementary school, middle school and high school. Children begin primary school at age five or six and complete it at eleven or twelve.
SYSTEM
The american school calendar begin in late August or early september and ends in may or june. School holidays include Thanksgiving,Christmas, New Year, Easter and summer term. An important aspect of the American school system is parental involvement.

THE ITALIAN SCHOOL
Compulsory schooling lasts 10 years and concerns the ages between 6 and 16. The italia system includes: nursey school, primary school, lower secondary school and upper secondary school. Nursey school is a non-compulsory attendence school, characterized by play and education. Some time ago it was divided into two cycles,a two-year period and a three-year witha final exam in fifth grade. Now divided into 3 cycles,a single year and two -year cycles and the final examis abolished
