Scatterplots and Linear Models

Linear models show the relationship between two variables. Our linear models will be written in slope-intercept form, y = mx + b. The line of fit is an approximation, or prediction, of the relationship between the two variables modeled by the scatterplot. Edio Lesson 5.2.1

Residuals

A residual is the difference between the actual data value in the set and the predicted data value from the line of best fit.
