Onboarding

As a new degree student, you will receive support and advice from student tutors (other students) and from the admission services. During the first weeks of studying, you will also meet other support staff, such as programme coordinators, advisors, and teacher tutors. If you have any questions or need help with your studies, you can always contact your faculty's study advisor.

DID YOU KNOW

At the beginning of your studies, you prepare a Personal Study Plan (PSP). You also need the PSP for course enrollment.

To become familiar with studying at the university, attend the orientation programme, review the prematerial, and check the study guide. Download the Tuudo app and learn how to use your UTU email, which is the university’s most important information channel.

Study Planning & PSP

At the beginning of your studies, you will prepare a Personal Study Plan (PSP). This plan allows you to choose what you study and create a schedule for your studies. You can update your PSP as your goals and interests become more clear. Support is available both at the start and throughout your studies to help you create your PSP and set your goals. You can always book a time for guidance to help you plan your studies and update your PSP.

Professional development

During your studies, you grow as an expert and professional of your field. This growth is supported by teachers, internship supervisors, and all activities you engage in alongside your studies. In addition to the knowledge gained from your coursework, the tacit knowledge you accumulate and your self-awareness are crucial. Towards the end of your studies, a mentor can assist you with the transition into the workforce. Growth and learning continue after graduation.
