A key event for Nuclear Medicine in North America, the latest edition of the SNMMI (Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging), held in Chicago, USA, provided an opportunity for Lemer Pax and CCN to officially launch their subsidiary, Lemer Pax America. 1st Lutetium-177 injections with the Theranojet®ARA at Beaujon AP-HP hospital!
On August 3rd, the Beaujon AP-HP (Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris) hospital in Clichy, near Paris (France), successfully injected its first treatments with Lutathera using the new Theranojet®ARA shielded injection system. Resulting from a collaboration with Lemer Pax, this innovative patented device enables radioprotected intravenous administration of radiopharmaceuticals drugs for Targeted RadioTherapy (TRT), labelled in particular with 177Lu.

Partners' evening at the palace !
On the occasion of the EANM nuclear medicine congress in Vienna, Lemer Pax had the pleasure of inviting its most loyal partners in this field to a private dinner cocktail in the magnificent 'Salon Jaune' of the Palais Coburg in the heart of the Austrian capital. In total, nearly 60 participants from 20 different nationalities answered the call and were able to share a convivial and prestigious moment to the sound of Viennese waltzes.

The Posijet®, a high-energy radiopharmaceutical injector, obtained the new European MDR certification in July 2023, marking a transition from MDD. This development meets the need for harmonisation of practices and strengthens the quality of Medical Devices (MD). Nuclear Fusion, the example of ITER
ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) is an unprecedented scientific program and challenge. Its purpose is to carry out controlled nuclear fusion experiments at unprecedented levels of power and duration, and to understand the dynamics involved.
To meet the needs of the ITER project, Lemer Pax has researched, developed, and proposed a new range of hydrogenated, neutron-absorbing, and fire-resistant materials, retaining their radiation protection performance during fires.

Official opening of FIELD-LAB, the new NRG infrastructure
On December 7, the extraordinary new infrastructure of the NRG company was officially inaugurated in Petten, Netherlands. Its aims: to increase the production of medical isotopes and making them accessible to a wide audience, thereby improving progress in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers, cardiovascular and cerebral diseases. For this project, Lemer Pax supplied NRG with four highly protected shielded hot cells for the preparation and production of new radioisotopes.

Lemer Pax and SNOLAB: Act II
As part of the Canadian SuperCDMS SNOLAB project (Super Cryogenic Dark Matter Search), which focuses on neutrinos and dark matter research, Lemer Pax is doing it again after a first delivery in December 2019, with a new 10-ton shielding structure. Made of ultra-pure multi-layer materials—comprising stainless steel, very low-activity lead, and copper—the shielding was produced and assembled under stringent environmental and particle conditions, this new ultra-low background noise shielded casing is designed to protect from gamma rays two high-purity, broad-energy germanium detectors (BEGe) buried 2 km underground in a mine in Ontario, Canada.
