Star City ROleplay

Civilian O.P.P.S

Welcome to the Star City Civilian Guide

This guide will help you as you go about roleplaying as a Civilian....

Patrol Sessions

A Patrol Session is commonly known as a 'SSU'. A Patrol is a set time of when an actual roleplay and roleplay rules are in effect ingame.

Character Background

Your civilian Character's Background is mainly determined by the following

  1. Character's Skin Color / Ethnicity
  2. Clothing
  3. Vehicle(s)
  4. Pronunciation of Words and / or Accent
  5. Character's accessories
  6. Actions when Interacting with others

For Example if you want your character's background to be a 18 year old white male, that grew up in a suburban neighborhood with 3 siblings, with a very successful child hood and parents that ran a company that pass it down to you and your other siblings. Then, you shouldn't have your character running around and shooting every other civilian in roleplay, they will be laid back being passive and respectful when interacting with people.

Everyone Character Can Not Be From the Hood.

Character's Display

The way you display your character is the way the character should act and display themselves while roleplaying. For example if you character likes Law Enforcement, then obviously , the character will try to talk to Law Enforcement about things relevant to the topic. Or if your character always wear a skee mask and carries a gun in his / her pocket, then they will be the type to not draw Law Enforcement's attention and try to avoid making contact with them. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL ALWAYS RUN FROM POLICE.

Also, the way you interact with Law Enforcement and Other civilians plays a major part of displaying your character and his / her background. Not everyone goes around disrespecting other civilian or trying to cause road rage.

Before Roleplaying

When you have thought of a character's background and know the purpose for your character then you are ready to start the process of setting up your character. Here are the steps to do so

  • Make your Characters avatar ( Change your clothes, accessories and other things in your Roblox avatar menu)
  • Starts making your Character in the CAD / MDT System
  • Chose a vehicle that suits your Character's Background
  • Register proper Information in the CAD / MDT System
  • Set Plate and other proper information for your character / vehicle in the game

Passive Roleplay

Passive RP basically means what you would do in everyday life. Although many of us do not like Passive RP, it will help you become and experienced RPer.

Some Ideas for passive Roleplay would be Driving around, getting pulled over for traffic violations, talking to people, claiming your property or business, working at your job, exploring the map, or basically making money.

Civilian versus Civilian combat is allowed of Law Enforcement is not present on the scene. There has to be a background reasoning.

Driving

When Driving you should always be realistic. 1. Don't Drive into random scenes 2. Don't Driver opposite lanes of traffic to get attention from a Law Enforcement Officer

Whenever you crash or get involved in a scenario, act it out as if it was real life situation. Express your emotions as if the situation was to actually happen to you. For Example , if you crash in a light pole, express emotions such as being scared or nervous and being worried on how you would explain this to others. Call your family and tell them about the situation. Talk to the police / EMS as if you would realistically.

Interacting with People

All verbal interactions use a voice channel (Scene 1 - 3, Traffic stop 1-3, 911 line 1 - 2, Non-Emergency 911 line #1)

When talking to people in Roleplay, think about the things in your character's background and things they have experienced. Talk to people that you haven't met before with respect. Don't automatically start yelling and cursing people out because if you get shoot.......

Back

This also goes with Law Enforcement. If your character is not a big fan of Law Enforcement then they would begin to be agitated when being pulled over or talking to then. Or if your character has bad previous experience with Law Enforcement then they would be nervous and scared when interacting with Law Enforcement

Priority

Before you do a Priority you must request it in a discord channel. After requesting the Priority it will either be accepted or Denied by a staff member that is currently in the patrol. If it is accepted you will have 15 minutes to start your priority. If you decide to change your mind and don't want to do the priority anymore, notify the staff member that accepted you. Be creative with your priority don't only run and shoot at Law Enforcement every Priority.

A Priority is the act of causing a major scene or disturbance that will cause Law Enforcement Officers to quickly respond. Such as, a pursuit, shootout, barricading yourself in a building with a gun, taking a person or people hostage, causing mass destruction around the city, stealing multiply cars, or stealing government vehicles

Priority Limitations

The Following is not allowed in a priority

  • No Shooting ARs / Long Rifles from a vehicle
  • No Crashing into a solid object and keep driving
  • No Cop Baiting
  • No Disregarding major scenes that can be roleplayed out
  • Do not go into building that would be locked

After Dying on a scene

After being shot in-game most likey your character resets. After your Character resets do not get into a car, a staff member on scene will bring you back to the scene. On the scene you roleplay out your injuries that caused you to die.

Check here for help

After medical have treated you, depending on your health status they will either call cornor or transport you to the hospital. When transported to the hospital you will continue to provide information about your health status to the medical personnel as they request it. When you get to the hospital, the medical personnel will bring you in and drop you off in a medical room. After being dropped off you will wait at the hospital for about 30 seconds before resetting your character. If detectives are on patrol, they will investagate the scene. You will answer every question and everything they notice on the scene TRUTHFULLY (Do not remix or change up the story, explain every question with the truthful answer).

An awesome title

Contextualize your topic

After detectives have investigated the scene, and your character has died then you will have to start all the way back over with a new character idea and background.

If you character did not die then you are still allowed to continue his / her roleplay life style but if the character's vehicle was damaged or towed then you will not be allowed to use that vehicle with the same registered plate for 15 minutes.

Fail Roleplay

Fail Roleplay will cause you to face disciplinary actions

Fail Roleplay is the act of causing or acting out scenarios unrealistically. Fail Roleplay Includes but is not limited to-

⇎ Crashing into solid Objects at high or moderate speeds and continuing driver your vehicle as if it was not damaged ⇎ Providing false information to detectives or any investigation officer after your dead or arrest ⇎ Resetting your character or leave the game while on a scene or interacting with someone in Roleplay ⇎ Wearing a "Undershirt vest" ( A vest and other accessories is only allowed to be roleplayed out if it can visibly be seen by a person that you are interacting with). ⇎ Disregarding you Character's background when interacting with others ⇎ Stealing locked vehicles ⇎ Going into a locked or Government building when closed ⇎Jumping off of a highly elevated area and not playing out the injuries ⇎ Acting as if you are Away From your Keyboard (AFK) to avoid being involved in a scene ⇎ Failing to express your characters emotions in situations that would need expressions heavily expressed ⇎ Randomly killing people using a weapon or a vehicle for no reason, or without a background reasoning

Cop Baiting will cause you to face disciplinary actions

Cop Baiting

Cop Baiting is the act of trying to get attention or bait Law Enforcement into pulling you over or try to chase you

Speeding 15 - 20 MPH over the posted speed limit pass a Law Enforcement officer that you know the location of, is not cop baiting 60 - 65 MPH pass a officer that you know the location of is only expected on the highway

Metagaming

Metagaming is the act of watching a live video or stream and / or using a content / context in or out of game to your advantage, or to gain access or knowledge to certain situations
