In the home stretch

As his internship came to an end, this was one of Aziz's last assignments.

• MDC Schools Police Department Chief records a podcast with Aziz's supervisor, Mr. Lugo Elmo, on school safety.

• Aziz created new unbreakable bonds with coworkers such as, Gabrielle "Gaby" Acosta.

• Gaining real work experience, this internship brings Aziz one step closer to his aspiring career in Public and International Relations.

The Beginning of an Era

Gaining a feel for the internship, Aziz learned how the MDCPS school system is organized.

• Aziz attended Synergy X, a conference MDCPS holds in order to prepare educators for the following school year.

• MDCPS superintendent of schools, Dr. Dotres, spoke at the event, providing insight to educators.

• Aziz was granted the opportunity to meet the superintendent.

All in the days work

Occassionally, Aziz worked off site during his internship.

• Lending a hand at Ponce de Leon middle school, Aziz is found covering a story regarding the newcomers program.

• Aziz worked alongside camera crews and news crews, helping them behind the scenes.

• Acting as a middle man along the way, he gained content for MDCPS to use.

Capturing Greatness

This internship allowed Aziz to become competent in operating cameras.

• Aziz sets up his camera, prepared to broadcast the school board's meeting live.

• Being on site for news stories, he worked with news reporters, people in communications, and other departments.

• Additionally, Aziz undertook the responsibility of organizing MDCPS public data through data bases he created.
