Another Muslim holiday is this celebration of the prophet Muhammad. In Cairo you will find parades and processions in the streets, filled with dancers, acrobats and music. Families get together to spend the day eating and enjoying themselves.

Sham El Nessim is an Egyptian festival that marks the beginning of spring, celebrated every April without a fixed date. With more than 4,500 years of tradition, originally linked to the harvest, the holiday became related to Easter after the acceptance of Christianity. 21/2

Wafaa al-Nil, the “bride of the Nile”, is a festival related to the Nile River and celebrated along its entire length. According to legend, in ancient times the Egyptians sacrificed a young virgin by throwing her into the Nile to ask the gods to provide them with good crops.17/6

In Maadi Island Park, Chinese and Egyptians celebrated the Chinese Spring Festival together, highlighting cultural interaction. The Chinese ambassador, Song Aiguo, highlighted the joy of uniting both countries. The event included dances, songs, displays of Chinese crafts

In the case of women, they should cover their heads, shoulders, arms, and legs. Lowest temperature:15ºC, 5 less in the desert.

Once spring arrives, light clothing is sufficient. The temperature hovers around 30°C, and in May, it exceeds that. Sunglasses, a cap or hat, and sneakers are very useful for visiting temples and markets. Men have more freedom, and depending on the mosque or temple being visited, the guidelines may vary. To avoid any inconvenience, my recommendation is to wear long trousers and keep them in the backpack.
