LOCATION, CLIMATE & waterways

The UAE is located in the Middle East, bordering the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf, between Oman and Saudi Arabia. It is also near the North Atlantic Ocean. The UAE is a desert, with somewhat lower temperatures in the eastern mountains. Arid environment with highly dry, hot, and humid summers from April to September and typically mild and dry winters from October to March.

The UAE has seven cities: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm Al Qaiwain, Fujairah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah. The population is 9,973, 449, while Canada's is 40,528,396. The population is concentrated in the northeast on the Musandam Peninsula, with Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.UAE's population density is 114 per square km and Dubai has a population density of 97 people per square kilometer and known for it's tax-free lifestyle and it's thriving ecomny.

The UAE is a developed country. They have a good education system and the per capita income is $70,550 CAD (Canada's is $68,658 CAD). There are high living standards and a strong economy. Some of their natural resources are petroleum (oil) and natural gas. The UAE's economy is diversifying as it tries to turn itself into an economy based on non petroleum and natural gas.

Some of the world's best universities have established programs in the UAE, attracting outstanding students from all around the world. The school system in the UAE is fairly new. There have been fights in the past over three islands claimed by Iran and another island that each country has a different name for. There are no defined borders with the countries of Saudi Arabia and Oman, which may lead to future problems.

The UAE Health Authority aims to improve the quality of care, expand access to services, safely transition from public to private providers and make a new financial model through an innovative health insurance. The country is divided into 53 public hospitals and 104 private hospitals. There is free healthcare. United Arab Emirates has the fifth best healthcare system in the world.

Overall there quality of living in UAE is great. From no taxes to a good health care and education system. Dubai is the UAE's most expensive city to live in because it offers high living standards. It's also luxury tourism destination. While Sharjah is slightly cheaper to live in. A standard living price if you were to rent a small home in Sharjah would be around $5,000 CAD per month. While in Dubai it would be around $8,000 CAD per month.
