  • What are historical key conflict and peace events?  
  • What is the political, economic, social, environmental, and security context? Which emerging issues are there to consider?
  • Are there significant cultural, religious or ideological issues that are relevant to conflict and peace?   
  • Are there conflict-prone or affected areas? If so, where?   
  • Are there certain times of the year when conflict risks are elevated? 
  • Are there recent or ongoing efforts towards peacebuilding?  
  • What are the predominant gender norms and roles in the country?
