When do we use the present continuous? and when do we use the present simple?

PRESENT CONTINUOUS *What is happening at the moment of speaking (cuando en la frase encontramos NOW, RIGHT NOW, AT THE MOMENT) Example: Batman is fighting against the Joker right now * With temporary situations (cuando en la frase encontramos las expresiones temporales THIS week/month/year) Example: I'm watching a lot of series this week, because I'm on holiday .

the affirmative form

subj + am/is/are + verb +ing Example: Anne is studying at the library right now REMEMBER! I AM I am studying /I'm studying YOU ARE you 're studying/you are studying HE/SHE/IT IS He/She/It is studying. He/She/It's studying WE ARE We are studying / we're studying YOU ARE You are studying/you're studying THEY ARE They are studying/they're studying

Lo usamos para hablar DE RUTINAS. In a nutshell: AFFIRMATIVE: El verbo no cambia, permanece igual en todas las personas menos en la tercer persona singular, cuanod hay que añadir -s o -es (REPASA LOS CASOS EN QUE SE AÑADE S Y los en que se añade ES) (She always gets up early during tyhe week) -NEGATIVE: Sub+ DON'T /DOESN'T+* verbo "normal" (dO YOU WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING?) * se elige "doesn't" con la 3 personal singular (She doesn't usually eat cookies for breakfast) -INTERROGATIVE: (wh- word) DO/DOES* subj + verb *se usa "does" con la tercera persona singular What does she have for breakfast?

Lo usamos para hablar de lo que está pasando en el momento en que se habla o para situaciones temporales,p provisionales. In a nutshell (de forma resumida): AFFIRNMATIVE FORM: sub+ AM/IS/ARE + verb +ing (She is wearing a costume now) NEGATIVE FORM: Subj + AM/IS/ARE + NOT (or N'T) + verb +ing (She isn't dancing right now) INTERROGATIVE: (wh- word + AM/IS/ARE + sub+ verb +ng (Is she having fun?)
