Immediately after the attack, clean up crews began to put out fires and assess attacked ships and air fields. Some battleships were seen as total losses, as well as some crusiers.

The following day, President FDR makes a speech to Congress adn to America; condeming the attack on Pearl Harbor and imploring Congress to declare War against Japan and their Allies.

Congress puts forth a motion to declare War on Japan. Everyone votes in favor of War with the exception of Montana Rep. Jenette Rankin
Millions of Americans Mobilize for War
The following weeks were filled with men and women voluteering for the war effort. 16 million men aged from 17-35 joined the US Military.
- Largest Volunteer force in US History
- 16,000,000 Men Volunteered for Service
- There was also a rise in War Propraganda
- Disney and Universal Studios led the way for Cartoon War Propraganda
