Around 1928/29 Amália began to show her gift to others, despite her shyness, she had fun singing to her neighbors and at events at the school she attended. In 1938 she entered the «Queen of Fado of the neighborhoods» competition, from which she ended up giving up, at that time she introduced herself as Amália Rebordão. In 1939 he worked in recreational societies on an amateur basis. In 1957, the album Amália à L’Olympia was published, released worldwide, becoming his most famous live album. In 1970 she performed for the first time in Japan, at Expo 70. she performed in Rome, Milan, New York, Osaka, Tokyo, Venice, Campione and Viareggio.
