WHo were the sadducces?
The Sadducces were the priest of the temple who recieved their authority from The Torah or the law, also called The Pentateuch or the first five books of The Bible.
What they believed.
The sadducees were known for their opposition to the doctrine of the ressurection.
They did not believe in the spirit realm, the afterlife nor angels.
Why they held their belief.
The Sadducees held their belief that there was no resurection because they did not have knowledge with the scriptures. They did not go past the first five books of The Bible. They were under the influence of Hellenism.
The Sadducees, prominent Jewish sect during the time of Jesus are known to have had a contentious relationship with him.
Their feelings about jesus
according to the new testament accounts, their barriers and processes derriere significantly from those or Jesus
leading to several areas or collection theological differences
authority and power, interpretation of the law, collaboration with roman authorities and Jesus trial and/crucifixion.
Our thoughts about them :Cloaked in priestly robes, the Sadducees epitomize skepticism entrenched in tradition.
Their reluctance to accept Jesus' radical teachings and resurrection claims is symbolized by a closed Bible, highlighting their narrow interpretation of scripture.
Holding onto symbols of authority, like a scepter, they embody a conservative stance, skeptical of miracles and the afterlife.
In the clash between tradition and the divine, the Sadducees' theological rigidity surfaces during Jesus' trial, where uncertainty looms in question marks, encapsulating their struggle with the profound shifts introduced by Jesus
