Test Administrator Responsibilies:
- Maintain security of test materials until returned to me in the testing room.
- Follow test security procedures.
- Create and maintain accurate seating charts.
- Report testing irregularities.
- Distribute test materials in your testing room.
- Follow all test administration processes.
- Follow the provided testing checklist
Preparing your room for testing
- Even if you are not administering the test, you still need to prepare your room for testers.
- Cover any wall materials that could help a student on the test.
- Including the Hallway
- Place all desks in rows facing forward as far apart as your room allows.
- Keep in mind where you plae your speech to text students.
- Make sure that you have a working clock.
- Prior to students entering the testing room, you may lay out: Scrath paper, pencils, supplemental aids, and headphones.
Test Security
- Count and verify testing tickets when you check them out with me!
- Once materials are checked out, they are your responsibility!
- You MUST supervise these materials at ALL times! Do not leave them unsupervised or in an unlocked room!
- If students need to go to the hallway for any reason, they should not take out any testing materials or an open test on their Chromebook.
Preparing test materials
- Pick up testing materials in the testing room no later than 7:45.
- Verify rosters, test tickets, and other materials.
- Check your student accommodations list.
- Post "Testing, Do Not Disturb" sign on the door
- Pass out appropriate materials:
- calculators, pencils, supplemental aids, headphones, etc.
- Verify the name on the test ticket matches the student ID.
- Post the session ID on the board.
- Follow the teacher checklist provided.
- Ensure you have a working clock!
As Students Enter the Classroom and Realize it is Test Day...
- Students should only have their Chromebooks plus a charger.
- Backpacks should remain in the hallway.
- No blankets or pillows
- Check that they do not have any extra papers stuffed in their Chromebook.
- Books should be kept on the teacher's desk for after the test reading.
Taking attendance
- Take attandance on the YELLOW attendance roster.
- If they are NOT on your roster, they do NOT enter.
- The YELLOW attendance sheet should be posted on the outside of your door no later than 8:30.
- Late testers (after 9:00) will go to the library to test.
Seating Charts
- Official seating charts must be completed for every test you administer.
- Must include names of students testing
- Room #
- Start and stop times
- Additional seating charts must be completed if students are moved to another room during test.
- Remember:
- Put desks in rows as far apart as possible
- Make sure you can circulate the room
electronic devices
- Read the provided "Electronics Policy" to the students.
- Tell students to turn OFF their devices.
- Secure all electronics: Collect cell phones, smart watches, etc. and place in an envelope labeled with the student's first and last name.
- Check student wrist for any technology that connect to the internet.
- As always monitor, monitor, monitor!
- No devices/backpacks will be returned until ALL CAMPUS testing is complete. Listen for an announcement!
Getting Started
- Students must be signed out of their chromebooks.
- Students will use the Chromebook Secure Testing Browser (Apps at the bottom left of the screen)
- Read the directions from the script provided.
- Record start time on seating chart.
During the Test
What you will do:
- Provide a quiet testing environment
- Activley monitor students while they are testing
- If a student has a question, you will politely tell them that you can not answer that and to do the best they can.
- Only answer questions that deal with the directions.
- Ensure students remain seated without talking throughout testing!
- LEAVE THE STUDENTS UNATTENDED
- READ A BOOK, GRADE PAPERS, LESSON PLAN, ETC.
- USE YOUR COMPUTER
- USE YOUR CELLPHONE/AIRPODS
- DO NOT VIEW OR TALK ABOUT THE TEST
- Do ANYTHING EXECPT STARE AT THE CHILDREN!
Test Information
- 5 minutes of non-activity ("Are you still there")
- 20 minutes of non-activity (Student will be logged out.)
- If students see a "Do Not Read" icon, it will not be read to the student.
Hall Monitor/Restroom Monitor Responsibilities:
- Ensure students do not go into their backpacks for any reason.
- Ensure students are not talking to anyone in the hallways or restroom line.
- Assist with students finiding their testing rooms and teachers needing help getting the test started.
- Check teacher doors for the "HELP" signs posted.
- Cover teachers who need to turn in their bins when testing is complete.
- Speak quietly in these areas as everyone can hear you.

- If a teacher needs a break, place the "HELP" sign on the door.
Emergencies
After the Test
- When the student raises their hand to inform you they have completed the test, confirm student has submitted the test correctly and log off.
- Collect materials:
- Testing tickets (Place in alpha order the way you recieved them.)
- ALL scratch paper provided.
- Provided supplemental aids
- Pencils, headphones, etc.
- Chromebooks should be closed and placed under their desk.
- Students may read a book or put their head down when finished.
- Students must remain in their seats and remain quite.
- Mark stop time on seating chart.
- Post "Finished" sign on the door so that someone can come relieve you to turn in your testing materials to the PLC room.
- Maintain a QUIET testing environment until the building is finished testing.
- Personal items will not be returned until students are released from testing.

testing irregularities

Procedural Irregularities
Eligibility Errors
- A student was administered an incorrect test
- A student was administered the same test more than once
Accommodation Errors
- Student was provided an unallowable or non approved accommodation
- An allowable accommodation was not provided/administered to a student
Monitoring Errors
- A test administrator:
- left room unmonitored during testing
- did not monitor students during breaks
- reinforced test-taking strategies
- did not properly prepare testing environment
- did not use test manual to read directions
- did not complete required seating chart
- did not properly monitor testing students
Accounting Errors
- Student was issued someone else's test materials
- Testing personnel lost or misplaced secure test materials
- Secure online assessment was left open and visible
- Secure test materials were left unattended
Serious Irregularities
- Directly or indirectly assist students with test questions
- Tamper with student responses
- View secure test content before, after, or during test administration
- Discuss or disclose secure test content
- Duplicating or recording test content
- Respond to secure test questions
- Exempting or preventing a student from participating in testing
- Providing unallowable assistance during testing
- Failure to report knowledge that an irregularity occured
- Failure to implement procedures to prevent student cheating
- Failure to implement procedures to prevent alterations of test documents
Penalties for serious Violations
- Referring to SBEC for potential sanctions with a minimum one-year suspension
- Class C misdemeanor
- Invalidating student test results
- Lowering accreditation
1. Late testers will report to the library if they arrive after 9:00.2. Snacks are not allowed. Only water! 3. Books for after testing must be kept on the teachers desk. 4. Ensure no loose papers are stuck in their Chromebooks. 5. Please be patientf for someone to come in your testing room, as we may be short on hall monitors but will do our best! 6. 8th graders will use restrooms by the cafeteria for the upcoming Field Test.

Signing your oath:
1. Initial all of the boxes on the front of the oath.2. Initial the top 5 boxes on the back if you are a certified teacher. 3. Sign, date, and write out your name at the bottom of the oath. 4. Bring to Pattrick before you leave!
