Introduction of the first conditional

Introduction

The first conditional, sometimes called the real conditional or type 1 conditional is used to talk about thoughts on what future events might happen and their consequence. It is often used to express situations that are likely or possible in the future based on present conditions. The basic structure of the first conditional consists of two clauses: the "if clause" (conditional clause) and the "main clause" (result clause). Here's the general structure: If clause (Conditional clause): If + present simple Main clause (Result clause): will + base form of the verb Example: I'll be very happy if you pass your exam. My muscles will hurt if I start going to the gym again.
