Two truths and a lie ...

  • Write down three sentences about yourself...(facts, life experiences etc.), two of which are true and one of which is a lie.
  • They must be things the rest of the class doesn’t know!
  • In pairs, take turns reading aloud your sentences and answering questions about them.
  • The other has to guess which one is the lie!

Hot seat

  • Students have to describe a word to another classmate.
  • Divide the class into two teams. Everyone faces the board.
  • On each turn, one student will sit with their back to the board, facing their teammates (if you're on Zoom, I will send it to you in the private chat).
  • I will write a word on the board.
  • The players must then describe that sentence to the student in the hot seat. Use synonyms, antonyms, definitions etc!
  • The round is over when the student in the hot seat says the word!
