- I have never broken a bone
- I have met the mayor of London
- I have never eaten patatas bravas
- Two of these sentences are true...
- One is a lie!
- Which one do you think it is?!
Two truths and a lie ...
- Write down three sentences about yourself...(facts, life experiences etc.), two of which are true and one of which is a lie.
- They must be things the rest of the class doesn’t know!
- In pairs, take turns reading aloud your sentences and answering questions about them.
- The other has to guess which one is the lie!

Take a look at the four sentences...
- Do we know when they happened? NO!
- Do we know if they are all finished? NO!
- So, we can't use the past simple!

Hot seat
- Students have to describe a word to another classmate.
- Divide the class into two teams. Everyone faces the board.
- On each turn, one student will sit with their back to the board, facing their teammates (if you're on Zoom, I will send it to you in the private chat).
- I will write a word on the board.
- The players must then describe that sentence to the student in the hot seat. Use synonyms, antonyms, definitions etc!
- The round is over when the student in the hot seat says the word!
