Form:

USED TO follows the rules of the PAST SIMPLE and it's always followed by a verb in the infinitive.

Affirmative sentences: Subject + used to + infinitive + complement. I used to collect marbles when I was a child.

Form:

Negative sentences: Subject + didn't + use to + infinitive + complement. I didn't use to be messy.

Questions: Did + subject + use to + infinitive + complement. Did your parents use to ground you?

What is the difference between USED TO and WOULD?
