Burik
burik is one of the most delicious Libyan patries loved by children and adults.It is usually done in the month of Ramadan.It is considered a complete nutritional meal because it contains proteins and starches at the same time.It can be made in different ways and can be with cheese or meat.It can be kept in the freezer for a long time
ingredients
flour salt water two tablespoons starch one spoon of vegetable oil FOR THE FILLING: minced meat or chicken or cheese potato and carrot boiled cubes chopped onion crushed garlic spices
Steps
step 1 boric materials,mix flour starch and salt step 2 add water gradually to obtain a liquid homogeneus mixture and add a spoon of oil Step 3 let the mixtur rest and prepare the minced or chicken put oil in the cooker and add the chopped onion and then the meat with stirring Step 4 let the meat cook,add the spices and finally the garlic,the potatoes and the cooked carrots Step 5 we start by spreading the burik paper with a silicone brush on a-non stick pan or with a burik machine then stuff the burik and fry in oil.
