How many are there?
Countable Nouns
- We use countable nouns for people, places, or things we can count. Count nouns usually have singular and plural forms. (Example: apple - apples)
- Some of them only have a plural form (scissors) and others have the same singular and plural form (fish)
- Singular countable nouns take the article a/an or the. Plural nouns take the articles the or no article. (Example: the apple, an apple - the apples, apples.

Uncountable Nouns
- We use uncountable nouns for people, places, or things we CANNOT count.
