Let's learn about

Salvation

Salvation

Even when we’re born as cute little babies, we have something inside us that makes us want to do bad things . . . makes us want to say NO to God.

Salvation

It’s that nasty thing called

the sin nature.

Salvation

When perfect God looks at us, we look yucky. Kinda like when we look at a gross fly, dirty with garbage or rotten food.Yuck! But that’s what we seem like to God.

Salvation

You see, God is perfect. He’s ALL good. He never makes a mistake. He can only tell the truth. God knows everything and He can do anything!

Salvation

But as for us? Well, we are messed up with sin, even when we’re first born. That thing that makes us want to sin is part of us. No matter how hard we try, we can never get rid of it.

Salvation

As yucky as a fly is to us, we are even more yucky to God.

Salvation

But God is so wonderful that no matter how unlovely we are to Him, He still loves us.

Salvation

He only wants the best for us. Did you know that He wants more than anything for us live with Him in heaven someday? There’s just one big problem: heaven is perfect. God cannot let anything with sin into His perfectly beautiful home.

Salvation

Kinda like your mother—she’s always happy for you to come home, but she would never let you walk through the clean house with mud all over your shoes. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23)

Salvation

But God made a plan to fix that problem. A long time ago, when the time was just right, God sent His Son—Jesus Christ—down to earth to give us a wayto be in God’s family.

Salvation

God’s Son, Jesus Christ, did just what the Father asked Him to do. He became a man so that He could take the punishment for our sins.He went to the cross and died for our sins—for yours, for mine, for everyone’s. Think about it: He took the punishment for all the times we use our NO buttons.

Salvation

Now that He’s finished doing that, all we need to do is believe in Him. We use our YES button to tell God the Father that we believe Jesus Christ went to the cross for our sins.

Salvation

I certainly want to live with God in heaven forever and ever. So I’ve made a choice. I said YES to God and His plan. I believe Jesus Christ went to the cross and died for my sins. I want you to spend forever with Godin heaven, too. Will you believe in Jesus Christ?

Salvation

Here’s what the Bible says about Jesus Christ and why He died for all of us.

Salvation

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)

Salvation

“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Salvation

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” (1 Tim. 1:15)
