Thank you!

Don't forget to send me the listening activity.

To teacher Alfonso

The activity is sent by mail at the end of the class to know the level of English comprehension. It is the evaluable activity to add 0.2 tenths (mock evaluation activity). For reading, I have chosen a text that they have to read and develop campaign ideas. These ideas will be used in Speaking to discuss them among peers using the markers learned in class. This is the best way to introduce the use of the markers in everyday life: talk to your friend.

for grammar and writing I choose two interactive tasks to attract the attention of the students. For the listening, they do the activity while listening to the audios that are exposed in the class, with the objective of knowing that they detect the markers as well as the topic of the listening.

The class is distributed in: teaching the theory about conversation markers. The way of teaching it is a presentation in "Genially". The activities: four important parts of teaching English (writing, listening, speaking and reading) with a duration of 10 minutes each.

Task interactive

We will have 10 minutes to complete the following online grammar activities. After the time has elapsed, we will continue with other activities:

A._ Choose one or more correct ways to use "discourse markers" depending on the context. B._ Search eleven markers

Good luck! Be creative!

Listening and writting

For this activity we will listen to two marketing ads/campaigns in which these connectors are used. There are two tasks to attend to:

1º Detect the markers they use. 2º What the advertising campaign is about. This activity is sent to me by e-mail in a pdf page to observe your reading comprehension. So take note and stay tuned.

Good luck! Be creative!

IMPORTANT: The use of conversational markers requires the construction of complete sentences. Avoid empty conversations by using only: "i mean."; "I see."

Reading and writing

In the link there is a text to read. Write two campaign ideas based on what you have read. You have 10 minutes to complete the activity.

Write them down on a sheet of paper for the next activity.

Good luck! Be creative!

0,18 tenth

I could have written more text in the videos.

Speaking

The last 15 minutes of the class, we will present the ideas we have drawn from the previous text. But to make use of the markers learned today, the speaking is a debate. They have to interrupt each other and use the markers to keep the conversation going.

Good luck! Be creative!
