The train leaves at 2 o’clock. - Verbos que solo se usan en presente simple: believe, belong, imagine, like, love, hate, want. She likes maths. - Acciones que empezaron y acabaron en el pasado. We saw the match last Saturday. Did you like it? - Se usa cuando sabemos cuándo ocurrió la acción. She went to the cinema last Staurday. She didn’t go on Friday. - Los mismos verbos que solo se usan en presente simple, se usan solo en pasado simple.

Los usamos juntos cuando una acción interrumpe otra. El pasado continuo se usa para la acción más larga (while/as) y el pasado simple para la que interrumpe (when). WHILE/AS I was playing video games, my brother arrived home. I was playing video games WHEN my brother arrived home.

- Acciones muy recientes. (Llevan JUST y se traducen por “acabar de” + verbo) They have JUST finished the exam.
