Customer vs patient

patient

Customer

The customer is the person or company who consumes a good or a service, usually they can choose who will be the supplier and the continuity of this service.

It is an individual or person who's under medical treatment or registered under the plan of care of a provider. Insurance could assign the patient to a specific provider without consent.

the importance of this difference

We need to be mindful about the patient needs, showing empathy and listen actively what they are asking for. The patients are human beings asking for help to solve situations that are out of their own hands.

We are all human and deserve decent treatment.

Thanks for your attention
