The Classical Age was the golden age of greek civilization. Athens and Esparta united to destroy the Persian Empire i the Greco-Persian Wars. Larter,they fought each otherin the Peloponnesian Wars.

The Minoan civlization developed on the island of Crete. Its name comes from Minos, the legendary king Knossos. These peopleused a type of writting system, built palaces and were sea traders.

The Dorians invaded from the north. They had iron weapons. They destroyed the Mycenaean cities and as a result, many people abandoned them. This was a period of economic and cultural decline.

The Achaeans who were a warlike civilization,settled i the european Greece. They establized the Myceanean civilization. Its centre was the city of Mycenaean. They were the first speakers of the Greek language
