The Classical Age was the golden age of greek civilization. Athens and Esparta united to destroy the Persian Empire i the Greco-Persian Wars. Larter,they fought each otherin the Peloponnesian Wars.
The Minoan civlization developed on the island of Crete. Its name comes from Minos, the legendary king Knossos. These peopleused a type of writting system, built palaces and were sea traders.
The Dorians invaded from the north. They had iron weapons. They destroyed the Mycenaean cities and as a result, many people abandoned them. This was a period of economic and cultural decline.

Philip II, the king of Macedonia , took advantage of the decline of the polis and conquered Grecce. Trough his son Alexander the Great's conquests, Greek culture spread all over the East
