LJUBLJANA

Liubliana, capital de Eslovenia, es la ciudad más grande del país y es conocida por su población universitaria y sus zonas verdes, como el extenso parque Tivoli.

Capital: Liubliana. 293.218 habitantes en el municipio; 298 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Es la ciudad más poblada. Otras ciudades importantes: Maribor, Kranj, Koper/Capodistria, Celje. División administrativa: Eslovenia se divide en doce regiones: Pomurska, Podravska, Koroška, Savinjska, Jugo-vzhodna Slovenija, Posavska, Osrednojeslovenska, Gorenjska, Primorsko-notranjska, Goriška, y Obalno-kraška.

Forma de Estado: República parlamentaria. Superficie: 20.273 Km2. Población: 2.107.180 habitantes, dicha cifra se desglosa en 1.934.738 nacionales eslovenos y 172.442 extranjeros. Lengua oficial: esloveno. o Otras lenguas: húngaro e italiano (en los municipios donde residen dichas comunidades). Gran parte de la población posee un buen nivel de inglés, así como de alemán en las zonas limítrofes con Austria. Moneda: Euro (desde 2007). Religión: Aproximadamente el 43% de la población se declara católica, el 4,57% ortodoxa, el 2,77% protestante, el 7,58% evangélica, el 3,6% musulmana y un 31,5% declara no formar parte de ninguna religión.
