It has iscribed as a single site by unesco on the List of world heritage site in 1986 ad a culturale site of outstanding universal Value. This unesco site comprises different castles,for Example: -The beaumaris castle -The caernarfon castle and town walls -The cowny castle and town walls -The harlech castle

The History

Edward has built like 17 castles in wales,but Beaumaris-Caernarfon-Cowny and harlech were The finest castles built by him in wales. At caernarfon and cowny were built new with massi e walls at The sa e time as The castles. Finally between 1283 and 1330 all The castles and town with Theire walls were begun and substanially completed

Did you know that: Some of the most magnificent castles of Wales are reminders of a turbolent time,When english and welsh princes vied for power. And in 1276-77 and 1282-83 king Edward 1 led two military campaigns in wales to defeat the welsh princes and bring wales under english rule. But to do this between 1276 and 1295 sere built or repared a lot of castles. After all, the results were Both individually and collectively,this is the finest surviving Example of late thirteenth century military architecture in europe; together this four castles and two Seats of town walls were inserì ed on the world heritage List in 1986 as the castles and town walls of king Edward in Gwynedd world heritage site.
