Do you believe in Jesus Christ?Do you believe He died for your sins on the cross?

The moment you believed in Jesus Christ, you became part of God’s family.

Let’s put a circle above the cross to show that we are in God’s family. See? You are in that circle! And that means you will live with God forever in heaven someday.

We’ll even put a picture of heaven in that circle to remind us—someday that will be our home. We can NEVER get out of the top circle!

But right now, we still live on earth. And God makes a perfectly happy, invisible place for of us to live in. We call it a palace.

When we’re inside our palace, we can talk to God. It’s like being close to our best friend. We can remember that He takes care of us, and we can remember all the things we learn about God in our Bible lessons.

Let’s put a circle with a picture of a palace below the top circle.

When we use our NO buttons, we fall out of the palace.

We leave the happy, safe company of God. We cannot talk to Him. We cannot remember all we know about Him.

We feel scared and alone and confused, maybe sad and awful. We call that lousy place outside the palace the pig pen.

Don’t worry, though. God wants us to come back to our palace quickly. Jesus Christ already paid for our sins when He died on the cross, so God tells us, “You can come back to your palace if you just tell Me what you did to disobey Me.”

When we tell God the Father that we used our NO button and what we did, we bounce right back into the palace. It’s like a ball that gets thrown against the wall then bounces right back. It rebounds back where we want it to be.

Let's pretend so we can practice:

Suppose your Mom says, “It’s bedtime! Turn off the TV.” And you say, “No. I don’t want to.” Oh-oh! You just used your NO button, and you just fell into the pig pen.

In the pig pen you would feel unhappy, and you would want to get right back into the palace.

So very quietly, even silently, you can say these words: Dear Heavenly Father,I used my NO button, I disobeyed Mom and told her No.

You would bounce right back into the palace!

So next time you use your NO button, just tell God the Father what you did.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”(1 John 1:9)

Good Job!
