Color Assessment

A step-by-step guide to perform your own seasonal color assessment
Start

What to expect

This tool is designed to help you assess which of the four color seasons best aligns with your own natural coloring. Your skin, eyes, hair, and even personality play a role in determining which season is the best fit. Note that this is a season-level assessment only and sub-categories within a season are not addressed. You may find it helpful to have a few pictures of yourself on hand. If you do, please note that color can vary dependent on light source, so it is recommended you use photos either taken outdoors or near a window providing natural light. If the colors in your pictures don't appear true to life, make adjustments to your screen settings before getting started.

You're Likely A WINTER

Winter colors capture both the cool softness of a snowy day, and the dramatic contrast of snow against a dark night sky. Some Winters will thrive most with cool crisp pastels of near-white blues, violets, and greys. Those with dark hair and fair skin look great in vibrant jewel tones of sapphire, ruby, and emerald. The key to Winter coloring is clarity and contrast. Winter colors are not muted, shaded, or greyed - they are clear and crisp. Winter is the only season that looks good in both black and pure white. Code "WINTER10" will get you 10% off a seasonal color assessment to take this a step further and learn your subseason. Seasonal assessment includes a 40-color digital palette plus guidance on jewelry, fabrics and patterns.

You're Likely A SUMMER

Summer colors are cool and muted as though seen through a mist or after fading from harsh sunlight. Summers with fairer skin and light eyes will often find harmony with muted rose and grey-blue hues. Summers with darker eyes do well in mid and dark shades across the cooler end of color spectrum. The key to Summer coloring is muted hues. Just as the summer sun can be too harsh directly, Summers are overwhelmed by bright clear color and need at least a hint of shade or shadow to their color values. Summers can also wear black in moderation. Code "SUMMER10" will get you 10% off a seasonal color assessment to take this a step further and learn your subseason. Seasonal assessment includes a 40-color digital palette plus guidance on jewelry, fabrics and patterns.

You're Likely A Spring

Spring colors are warm and clear reflecting the season's sunshine and new growth. This season is lively from red tulips to budding violets. Lighter colors for spring are light the way of watercolor paint - with a feel more of transparency than of being mixed with a white that dulls their vibrance. Darker spring colors include a deep red rose, but don't go much darker. Spring doesn't do black or dark, shaded, or muted tones. The key to Spring coloring is clarity. Spring colors have a freshness to them unlike those in other seasons. Code "SPRING10" will get you 10% off a seasonal color assessment to take this a step further and learn your subseason. Seasonal assessment includes a 40-color digital palette plus guidance on jewelry, fabrics and patterns.

You're Likely An Autumn

Autumn colors are the crisp warm tones of orange pumpkins, falling red and gold leaves, and deep green forests. Some Autumns are most in harmony wearing lighter wind-swept shades of fallen leaves and warm sands. Some shine best in vivid orange-reds reminiscent of vibrant trees in the peak of the season. Still others live more in the dark greens and earthy browns of the forest. The key to Autumn coloring is toasting. Autumn colors all have at least a hint of brown or gold. Code "AUTUMN10" will get you 10% off a seasonal color assessment to take this a step further and learn your subseason. Seasonal assessment includes a 40-color digital palette plus guidance on jewelry, fabrics and patterns.

It's Complicated

Alas, you've worked your way to the screen that no one wants; the one that says "not determined". The easiest way to get here is to not be able to determine if you are more warm, or more cool in skin tone. Some people are truely neutral which makes them harder to season match. The other way you might have ended up here would be if you gave answers that weren't consistently aligned with just one season. You might be on the borderline between two and therefore harder to figure out which is best. Either way, please don't lose hope. You can use code "COMPLICATED15" to get 15% off a seasonal color assessment that will then provide not only knowledge or your season, but your full digital sub-season palette.
