Esperienza passata, ma non sappiamo esattamente QUANDO sia avvenuta

• I have eaten sushi and I didn't like it
• Do you want to watch the Godfather? No, I have seen it and I don’t want to watch it again.
• Someone has eaten my soup!

Si tratta di azioni di cui non possiamo specificare il tempo nel passato in cui sono avvenute, oppure specificarlo non avrebbe importanza per il senso che vogliamo dare alla frase

• She has been to the cinema twice this week (e la settimana non è ancora finita)

Quando voglio specificare DA QUANTO TEMPO svolgo un'azione (usando FOR/SINCE)

Quando si vuole esprimere un'azione RIPETUTA in un periodo non definito di tempo tra passato e presente

• We have visited Portugal several times
• He has gone to the toilet too many times today
• They have seen that movie six times
• She has visited them frequently

Quando vogliamo specificare che abbiamo APPENA/GIA'/MAI/NON ANCORA fatto qualcosa (already/just/never/ever/yet)

• I have just eaten
• They have already bought a car
• I haven't tried it yet
• She's never gone to that restaurant
• Have you ever been to Japan?

Attenzione al posizionamento degli avverbi di tempo JUST/YET/ALREADY/NEVER/EVER: a volte vanno alla fine della frase, altre volte vanno in mezzo tra il verbo avere e il verbo al participio passato
