"No association has been demonstrated between pyothorax and feline leukemia virus or feline immunodeficiency virus status" ¹

"the most common cause of pyothorax in dogs may be more regionally dependent, with grass awns migration common in endemic areas" ⁴ Inhalation : rarement décrit

Autres causes

Plaie thoracique pénétrante (morsure, griffure , AVP...)

Migration hématogène ou lymphatique, perforation oesophagienne, migration parasitaire, progression de discospondylite ou d'ostéomyélite vertébrale, parapneumonique, néoplasie, ruptures d'abcès pulmonaires ¹

Causes majeures de pyothorax chez le chat

Demeure souvent indéterminée !

Pneumonie / bronchite infectieuse

"oral cavity and upper respiratory tract appear to be the most common source of microorganisms causing pyothorax in dogs and cats" ², ³

Corps étranger migrants

Plaie thoracique pénétrante (morsure, griffure , AVP...)

Autres causes

"One of the most common mechanisms believed to be responsible for pyothorax in cats is direct inoculation of the pleural space by bite wounds from other cats" ¹

"The approach to treatment for pyothorax varies greatly in veterinary medicine and remains controversial." ¹

+/- Lavage thoracique Fibrinolytiques intrapleuraux (controversé) ¹ Héparine intrapleurale (+ survie court terme) ⁶

Aerobies + :Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp., Actinomyces spp., Nocardia spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., and Corynebacterium spp. Anaérobies + : Fusobacterium spp., Peptostreptococcus anaerobius, Bacteroides spp., Prevotella spp., and Porphyromonas spp

A great presentation...

It is clear and structured in order to transmit information in an orderly and hierarchical manner, and to effectively deliver content that stimulates the brain. Animation and interactivity are two fundamental pillars for achieving this.

Pose a question or problem that makes the class think; it is the essential ingredient to maintain their attention. It is usually presented at the beginning of the topic to encourage critical thinking and participation.

01

Structure your content

You can create an outline to summarize the content and use words that are burned into your audience's brain.

Data Relevant

+190

You can express numbers like this

To highlight super relevant data. 90% of the information we assimilate comes through sight.

If you're going to present live,we recommend that you trainyour voice and rehearse:The best improvisation is always the most prepared!

from our brain is involved in the processing of visual stimuli.

Represent your data in the simplest way: choose your chart, organize the figures and paste them into Genially.

Timeline

Step 4

Step 5

You can briefly describe the timeline of your presentation and orally present the milestones achieved so that no one falls asleep.

Graph + text

Graphics are highly shareable, making them perfect for social media. And as if that weren't enough: they often generate high-quality traffic to the content we create.

Table + Text

Interactivity and animation can be your best allies when creating tables.

Use tables and infographics

Visual communication is a key tool. We find it easier to 'read' images than to read written text. That's why disciplines like Visual Thinking facilitate knowledge organization through the use of images, graphs, infographics, and simple drawings.

Narrative beings

We arevisual beings

Socialbeings

We need to interact with each other. We learn collaboratively.

We have thousands and thousands of stories. ⅔ of our conversations are stories.

We are able to understand images that are millions of years old, even from other cultures.

Conclusions

'Your content is appealing, but it becomes much more engaging when it's interactive'

Interactivity and animation can be your best allies when creating tables, infographics, or graphics that help provide context to the topic or unit, as well as simplify the information to make it more understandable. We are visual beings and it is easier for us to 'read' images than to read written text.
