What is ferret-legging ?
Ferret-legging is an endurance event in which ferrets are placed in the participants' pants. They trap them by attaching the ankle holes. This sport is also known as put 'em down and ferret-down-trousers. The winner is the one who stays longest with live ferrets in his pants.

The history :
The origins of ferret-legging are controversial: According to some, it originated in Yorkshire, where it was popularized by coal miners, while according to others, it originated in bars, where patrons organized ferret-legging competitions. Another theory about its creation is that the sport may also have originated in the days when only wealthy Englishmen were allowed to own ferrets used for hunting, forcing poachers to hide their illicit ferrets in their pants to avoid detection by gamekeepers.
The rules :
- Competitors must tie their trousers at the ankle before placing one or two ferrets in them.
- Competitors must securely fastening their belts to prevent the ferrets from escaping.
- Competitors must stand in front of the judges for as long as they can.
- All competitors cannot be drunk or drugged, just as ferrets cannot be sedated.
- Competitors are not allowed to wear underwear to allow the ferrets to circulate freely.
- The ferrets must have a full set of teeth that must not have been filed or otherwise blunted.
- It's best to wear white pants so you can see the wounds caused by the ferret.
- There are no teams, it's a sport where competitors are on their own.

Ferret leggings is the most insane sport there is, because who'd hurt themselves to win a competition in which you have to stand around with ferrets biting you, digging their claws into your chair. This sport goes beyond the limits of comprehension, and when you explain it, you might think it's made up because it's so absurd and weird. It's the craziest sport there is, because when you think of sport, you think of traditional sports like soccer, handball, volleyball and you don't think of a sport as weird as this, it's not something that comes to mind like that.
