How to be a good traveler in: Germany

“Can we just skip to the part of my life where I travel the world?”

start

DO: Respect A place's customs and traditions

Germany has a lot of traditions and it's culture is different to the rest of Europe. When you travel to Germany you might want to know that germans hang the lost items on trees to help the owner find them or that they allow kids over 16 to drink.

DO: Buy gifts and souvenirs made by the locals

There is a lot of souvenirs that you can buy in Germany. Even if the country's economy is very good the locals will get very happy if you buy some souvenirs. One of the most popular souvenirs is the cuckoo clock.

DON'T: make noise late at night

When you travel to Germany you must not make noise late at night. In other coutries, local restaurants or citicens play music at night, but in Germany sleeping is big deal. If you make loud noises between 10 PM and 6 AM you can go to jail.

DON'T: Trow litter on the ground

When you go to Germany you'll find out that the streets are very clean. You shoudn't under any circumstances trow a plastic bottle to the ground. Not only will you get sent to jail, but you'll also lose money. As you hear, in Germany if you return the pastic bottle you obtain a little of your money back It's part of a program called "Pfand"

DON'T: Expect locals to speak your language

When you go to Germany, remember, you are the visitor. Even if German is a complicated language try to learn a few words and the locals will try to understand you.
