decorations

the houses are decorated with oil lamps, and star-shaped lanterns are hung everywhere

Santa Claus does not come through chimneys: he is incarnated in the form of sand statuettes that can be admired on the beaches of India.

Even if Indians are predominantly Hindu, the Christian minority celebrates Christmas like us.If we are used to our decorations based on red Santa Claus, snowmen and fir trees, the celebration of Christmas in India is quite different. Don't expect to see a Christmas tree: in India, it gives way to a mango tree or a banana tree which will still be decorated with Christmas balls, candles and ribbons.
