Review your syllabus first. Read emails and announcements daily in canvas. Be sure and keep your whitecaps email up to date. Go in once a week and utilize it. Assignments are required to be turned in on time. Exams including the final are required to be taken on date and time scheduled.

Identifies the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse in administering pharmacological agents. Explain the safe and utilization of medications.

By the end of the course you should be able to perform both learning outcomes.

Spring 2024 Pharmacology Orientation

I am a GC Alumni for our ADN program. I have been teaching here at Galveston College for 10 years, but have been a nurse for 46 years. I started teaching as active duty Navy Nurse Corps/Navy Fleet Marine Corps Officer for 23 years. Moving forward my passion for teaching grew and landed me back to my roots.

For this course Shadow Health will be utilized. It is an online learning management tool that will help you navigate the pharmacology concepts. Go to the Evolve website: https://evolve.elsevier.com/student and go to the "Catalogue" home screen. Enter the first "Course ID" 165728_vjernigan3_5002 Click submit. You are now prompted to log into your existing evolve account or create a new account.
