Phrase Quality Performance Score (QPS) is an AI powered feature. It uses real life post editing data to generate a quality score for every single machine translated segment. These are visible directly in the editor, or they can be seen in summaries.
Phrase Quality Performance Score
QPS takes both the original language text and the translation (from MT or otherwise) and provides in response a score ranging from 0-100 reflecting what it believes the translation would score were it reviewed by a human using the Multidimensional Quality Metrics (MQM) evaluation framework.Adopting MQM in our quality estimation allows us to:
- Unify quality metrics across the Suite with one framework
- Generate more accurate scores following an industry standard framework
Phrase Quality Performance Score
Quality Performance Score allows you to use effective post editing workflows. For example, you can automatically skip post editing for segments with a quality score of 100 or the segments that we believe do not need any post editing. QPS can also be used to guide the post editing, so linguists are able to distinguish which segments might need a little bit more post editing effort than others.
