Speed vs Velocity
People used to describe speed with "slow" or "fast" until Galileo Galilei discovered that the measurement time and the distance covered could be used to calculate speed.
Velocity is different from speed. While speed only considers the magnitude of the motion, velocity takes into account both the magnitude and direction of the motion .
The difference between speed and velocity is that speed only tells how fast an object id travelling as for velocity tells you who fast an object is going and in which directions is going.
