The creation of a sustainable society is one of the key objectives for Denmark and a founding value of Danish culture. More than 20% of Danish energy comes from renewable sources, with the goal of reaching 100% by 2050. Much of renewable energy comes from wind power, thanks to the country’s leadership in the development of these technologies. Considered one of the most sustainable cities in the world, Copenhagen has in total 546 km of bicycle paths, a fleet of electric harbour ferries and the majority of the hotel rooms around town are eco-certified.

The Forest Tower at Camp Adventure is a walkway through the treetops that leads you to a platform with a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.

Copenhagen is one of the greenest cities in the world and is full of beautiful parks, such as the King’s Garden (Kongens Have) in Rosenborg, the Frederiksberg Garden, the charming Deer Park in Klampenborg.

The Harbour Circle offers a 13 km route for walking, running and cycling around Copenhagen Harbour. The route runs along both sides of the port from Nyhavn in the north to Sluselơbet in the south and is interconnected by five bridges for cyclists and walkers.

What to see and do

GoBoat gives you the possibility to rent a boat made of recycled material, equipped with non-polluting engines and solar panels. Renting a GoBoat, you can relax in the canals of Copenhagen.

In the farm ØsterGro farmers grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and organic edible flowers and there are also a greenhouse, a chicken coop and several beehives.

The statue of the Little Mermaid is a bronze sculpture located at the entrance of the port of Copenhagen and is one of the symbols of the Danish capital. It depicts the protagonist, Little Mermaid, of one of the most famous fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid.

It is a natural resort with lush forests, small lakes and incredible views. The park is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and was formerly used for the hunting sessions of the Danish Royal Family ; nowday you can still see the hunting house. Today the park is the home of2000 deers.

What to see and do

Green Island is a floating cafe in Copenhagen harbour. This café-bar is open during the summer time. Located in the waters in front of the area of Kalvebod Brygge, it offers a beautiful view of the port 360.

BioM

is a fully organic restaurant with 3 Michelin stars. Sőren Jakobsen and William Jőrgensen grow seasonal vegetables in the restaurant’s vegetable garden, just 15 minutes' drive from the tables where products are served and consumed

Geranium

is a delicatessen-butcher that turns in to a resturant during the evening from Thursday to Saturday, selling organic steaks and biodynamic wine

It's time to cozy up in a bell tent at this luxury camping site on the Island of Bornholm in Denmark! Each tent is 16 feet in diameter and can accommodate up to four guests. They are handcrafted canvas tents with coir mat floors, two zippable doors, and mesh windows.
