Mary Shelley was the first woman writer of english literature, also thanks to her mother (Mary Wollstonecraft) that was a feminist and the general atmosphere of rivolutionism that lived in her family. She is the writer of Frankenstein, one of the most famous novel and also the first gotich one of English literature. The main themes are the research of knowledgeand the usurpation of women's role.
