What is COP28?

It's a meeting where world leaders, politicians, and experts discuss the climate crisis on a global level.

Why is COP28 so important?

Given the slow pace of change compared to the speed of climate change and the urgency required, fatigue with the official process is understandable. But it’s also, as experts over the world argue, the best process we’ve got.

WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?

Global warming is the long-term warming of the planet’s global temperature. Over time it has increased more and more in the last hundred years due to the burning of fossil fuels.

WHICH ARE THE EFFECTS?

Glaciers and ice sheets are shrinking, the ice of rivers and lakes is breaking early, geographical areas of plants and animals are moving, and plants and trees are blooming. The sea level is increasing

WHY DID WE CHOOSE THIS TOPIC?

Global warming is still an important thing, even if there are other significant news
