Volition
Start
When God made the first man and woman, He gave them something that the animals did not have. He breathed into them the breath of life. God’s breath made them alive HUMAN BEINGS—they could speak, stand up straight, walk and run.
Most of all, they could think, and that means they could make choices. They could choose the names of the animals. They could decide which animal to pet first, or could pick red flowers one day and yellow the next.
If they preferred berries in the morning,
they could eat bananas in the afternoon.
Most of all, they could say YES to God, or they could say NO. They could choose to obey His rules, or they could choose to disobey.
That thing that Adam and Eve used to make choices is called volition. Can you say that? Volition!

You can choose which
candy to eat
shoes to wear

color crayon to use
You can say YES,
or you can say NO.
You can say YES,
When your mother says, “Don’t run in the house,”
you can say, “YES Mom,” or “NO.”
When Dad says, "Go to bed,"
you can say, “YES Dad,” or “NO.”
Which does God want you to say?
God only wants you to do things His way.
If we say YES to God, we do things His way—the right way
If we say NO to God, we do things our way—the wrong way.
Good Job!
