! Before You Begin !
In order to avoid any unnecessary evacuations or disruption, we recommend that an email is sent to reception so they can advise the sites DG group of when fire alarm testing will occur.
Call the Security Team on Extension 10451, provide the building name and what time you will be testing. This is so they are aware that this is not a real incident

Turn the key to "Test" Mode
This will cause the panel to emit a repeated "beep". This is to ensure that Test Mode is not left on once testing is complete

How to Complete Fire Drills
Fire drills are a legal requirement and will be carried out twice a year, once in January and another in July. The H&S Department will contact the Fire Safety Teams when these are due The only differences between a weekly fire alarm test and a drill is that its a surprise to the staff meaning they must evacuate the building and wait at the assembly point for a roll call.
